This book is my interpretation of designer Frank Kozik’s Smorkin’ Labbit toy for KidRobot. The assignment for this project was to fixate on a single object, exploring as many of its facets as possible, including its physical, metaphorical, and emotional elements. The visuals, including typographic choices, color, and motifs, were to revolve around the examination of the object. Using a film noir-inspired motif, I explored the Smorkin' Labbit by creating its back story, which includes love, betrayal, and murder, ending with a promise of revenge, including Hello Kitty and MunnyWorld as characters.
